Shardeum Updates: Week 27

Here’s a recap of what we happened previous week at Shardeum:

Tech

Last week, we worked with AWS developers and local simulations in order to test and prepare for the Liberty 1.2 update. We also used the latest tool technology to look into some hard-to-debug error cases in a new way. Moreover, we specified a better version process to let us load data from one network to another along with data fix up needed between versions. We made fixes to the data patcher system, and added improved account patcher debug endpoints to support endpoint which returns the list of sync hashes that failed last cycle and trie nodes which were out of sync. We’re also working on setting up a containerized development environment for Shardeum. We also developed a script to combine and process old DB files and generate account.json files from which we can restore the network. We’re also researching why swap transactions are failing with restored account data. We also interviewed 8 engineers and onboarded one to the team. 

Business

We’re in the process of setting up an Indian subsidiary of the Shardeum foundation. Meanwhile, we continue to onboard and engage with investors from the Shardeum seed round.

Marketing & Comms

The new Discord playbook is now live. We’re also working on bi-weekly quizzes for Discord and Telegram. We’re working on revamping our blog. We also continue to evaluate vendors for the Education Program, hackathon and other events. We also reviewed, edited and published 3 blogs, and 15 Q&As on Quora.
